Xignite APIs Now Support FIGI

Xignite has added support for Financial Instrument Global Identifier (FIGI) and CompositeFIGI to our Global Master and Global Historical APIs.

The FIGI specification is an open standard methodology for identifying financial instruments. It is based on Bloomberg’s Open Symbology, a system Bloomberg developed for identifying securities across all global asset classes that was adopted by the industry in 2014.

Xignite supports the trading-venue level unique FIGI (simply known as FIGI), and the Country/Composite-level FIGI (known as CompositeFIGI). Support for the ShareClass FIGI will be added later this year. To learn more contact support@xignite.com
